abstract

  • Present research focuses on intelligent sensor fusion for autonomous mobile robots. Sensor fusion has been typically viewed as the process by which multiple sensors provide observations of the world which are then combined into a single measure of the evidence for a sensing objective (an object, place, or event). Sensor fusion is expected to supply a mobile robot with more reliable perception than can be generated by current single sensor systems.
