abstract
This study analyzes the case studies that have been conducted for top ten maritime incident zones. More number of incidents has been reported to the areas where there are heavier shipping traffic activities. As a result, many case studies have been published based on the regions where the vessel losses are highest due to incidents. The issues of interest, the solution methodologies and their research contributions are summarized for each region. Our analysis shows that there are similarities among the problems, and some of the results can readily be applied to different regions as well.
