abstract
An exploration of the dialectical processes through which the ideologies of rhetorical movements are delineated, revised, and transformed generates distinctive conclusions about the character of "Old Feminist" rhetoric. This analysis provides a framework through which the meaning of a key episode in the development of the movement, the 1860 "Divorce Debate," can be determined. 1981 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
