abstract
The one photon and two photon optogalvanic spectra of argon and neon have been investigated in the near infrared region between 735 and 781 nm. About 35 transitions have been recorded by illuminating a hollow cathode discharge with a pulsed Ti:sapphire laser. These transitions can serve as a convenient way to calibrate Ti:sapphire laser or optical parametric oscillator radiation in this important spectral range.
