abstract
Summary form only given. The experimental and theoretical analysis of the trajectory control of small rotating projectiles by laser discharges has been performed. The laser spark was generated by 1.06 m Nd-YAG laser (300 mJ, 5 ns pulse duration). It was shown that the spark generates a strong shock wave, a hot gas spot, and a slow air jet. The gas heating is considered as a primary mechanism for the pressure redistribution along the projectile surface and the trajectory change.
