Coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering in monatomic gases in the kinetic regime Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • Coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering (CRBS) in krypton at room temperature and moderate pressure has been studied experimentally. The experimental data is in good agreement with the theoretical lineshape developed by the authors. In this paper, we describe the details of the experiment. We also discuss the application of coherent Rayleigh-Brillouin scattering in gas diagnostics. 2002 by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Inc. All rights reserved.
