abstract
This paper presents the results of an irrigation pumping plant efficiency testing program in Central, West and South Texas, regions in which testing was previously unavailable. The results are used to identify pumping plant components that need to be improved through repair or replacement. This paper presents summaries of irrigation pumping plant efficiency results for the diesel, natural gas, and electric units tested. The equations for calculating potential fuel savings presented. The test results are used to estimate the total potential fuel savings of the units tested.
