Performance evaluation and modeling of braided composites Conference Paper

abstract

• The 2 2 biaxial braided composites were successfully fabricated using low cost VARTM process. It was found that the tensile modulus and Poisson's ratio are sensitive to braid angle. The developed micromechanics analysis tools for performing prediction of effective engineering properties are quite flexible.
