The use of intraoral cores to repair complete and partial removable prostheses. Academic Article uri icon

  • A technique has been described for repairing fractured dentures. The procedure entails use of an occlusal core to correctly position the broken pieces of the denture. This technique is also applicable for repair of removable partial dentures as well as complete dentures. When the cause of a fractured prosthesis can be traced to occlusal disharmony or poor fit, it is not expected that repairing the denture will solve the underlying cause.
