abstract

• This technique uses the patient's denture as a combination surgical splint and transitional prosthesis. Wire ligation or other methods of support used for surgical templates are unnecessary. Modifications of the existing complete denture can be accomplished in one setting, and the need for special equipment is eliminated. This method is applicable to the mandible as well as the maxilla.
