abstract

• 2015, The Author(s). We would like to briefly review the different manufacturing techniques and post-treatment techniques employed in the SMA community. This is by no means an exhaustive discussion but a broad overview of some important items. As designers, it is important to having an understanding of these details especially as many of these techniques/treatments discussed here influence the performance of the component immensely.
