abstract
Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is a potentially viable alternative to the production of gasoline and chemical feedstocks. The authors report the heterogeneous Fischer-Tropsch synthesis using Co//4(CO)//1//2 supported on gamma -Al//2O//3. The catalyst is characterized by X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS), Laser Induced Mass Spectroscopy, and Transmission Electron Microscopy. The authors also report some preliminary results for the cluster CH//3CCo//3(CO)//9.
