abstract
Excitation of the symmetry forbidden bending mode in molecular photoionization of CO2 had been investigated. The v+=(0,1,0)/v+=(0,0,0) intesity ratio was determined by detecting disperesed fluorescene from the electronically excited photoions. the results showed deviations in the wide energy range of 18 to 190 eV. Experimental results were interpreted by theoretical framework and Schwinger variational calculations were performed. Calculations showed continuum electron responsible for the observation of excited bending mode and its energy dependence.
