abstract
A detailed study of C 1s photoionization of acetylene was carried out using the multichannel Schwinger variational method with Hartree-Fock approximation (MCSHF) as well as using the multichannel Schwinger variational method with configuration interaction (MCSCI). Core-hole channels and some selected shake-up channels were considered. Based on the obtained data, the existence of the shape resonance as well as the complicated multielectron process in the C 1s photoionization of acetylene were clarified.
