abstract

• Mes2BF and Ar2NBF (ArN = 4-(Me2N)-2,6-Me2-C6H2) react with trimethylsilyltriflate and p-dimethylaminopyridine in chlorobenzene to afford the corresponding borenium salts [Mes2B-DMAP]+ OTf ([1]+ OTf-) and [Ar2NB-DMAP] + OTf- ([2]+OTf-), which have been fully characterized. 2008 American Chemical Society.
