Design of small gain controller via iterative eigenstructure assignment Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • 1993 by Youdan Kim. An iterative eigensturcture assignment is introduced to design a small gain controller. A homotopy concept is adopted to design a sequence of neighboring controllers and filially reach the desired closed-loop eigenvalues. To assign target eigenvectors to proper modes, a criterion for the best alignment between two vectors is proposed. Numerical examples are given which support this practical value of the approach.
