abstract
Self-assembly reactions of the triply-bonded dirhenium complex cis-[Re2Cl2(dppm)2(O2CC5H4N-4)2] with cis-protected PtIIand ZnIIprecursors have produced heterometallic squares. Analogous reactions with Ag(O3SCF3), cis-[Re2-Cl4(O2CCH3)2(H2O)2] and [Rh2(O2CCH3)4] have yielded mixed-metal polymeric structures. These results demonstrate that the isonicotinate ligand is useful for accessing heterometallic structures involving metal-metal bonded complexes. Wiley-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
