abstract
The synthetic approach to prepare Mn3O4 from K2[Mn2(CN)6] was presented. An examination of the oxide particles by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) revealed typical diameters of < 200 nm and a small size distribution. It was found that the size of the oxide particles was clearly related to the original particle size of the parent cyanide compound which exhibited slightly larger crystallites of < 500 nm.
