abstract
Vapor-phase Raman spectra have been recorded for three cyclic organosilane molecules. Ten =2 transitions were observed between 90 and 180 cm-1 for silacyclobutane; seven were recorded for silacyclobutane-1,1-d2. The undeuterated compound also shows a difference band series in the CH2 stretching region. For silacyclopent-3-ene a difference band series originating from an olefinic C-H stretching mode was recorded. All the spectra confirm previous assignments of far-infrared spectra.
