Few seem to appreciate individuals positioning themselves on a fence dividing two opposing camps and, interestingly, those on both sides of the fence often demand an allegiance to one or the other positions. You can't sit on the fence, such moderates are told-despite their often being able to see further from that vantage point than those standing on the ground unable to see over the fence.
