Discrimination of mirror image stimuli in children. Academic Article

abstract

• Young children recognize and discriminate certain letters and geometrical shapes more readily under a brief tachistoscopic exposure of 80 msec than under a longer exposure of 35 sec. This paradoxical finding seems to provide one explanation for mirror image confusions and letter reversals in children. 1974.
