Article citations in Rehabilitation Psychology (RP), Volumes 27-29, were analyzed in order to identify influential works, authors, and sources of research germane to rehabilitation psychology. Many of the most frequently cited authors are individuals noted for their work in psychosocial aspects of disability (e.g., Richardson, Siller, Wright, & Yuker). Leading outlets of research considered relevant by the contributors to RP were Rehabilitation Counseling Bulletin. Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and RP itself. The data suggest that one foundation of research in the field concerns the psychosocial aspects of disability.
