abstract
Of the existing conventional non-destructive seam inspection techniques only ultrasonics offers the potential of significant improvements in sensitivity to define internal defects. This report outlines the development of a dry-scan roller probe technique which requires no direct contact with the seam. It offers the potential for defining cold fusion and very small defects within any geomembrane seam geometry.
