abstract
This poster concerns the development of a virtual dissolved oxygen meter, as well as its use and usefulness in laboratory and field settings. The problem of signal coupling was solved by modifying an instrumentation amplifier to include a path to ground through a 1 MW resistor. The advantages of computer-aided data acquisition of multiple dissolved oxygen probes include increased confidence in the measurements. Modifying a virtual instrument to acquire and process data from a multiplicity of analog devices is easy once the parameters of the device are understood.
