More efficient capture of bacteria on nanophase materials Conference Paper uri icon

abstract

  • The benefits of using nanophase materials in the environmental applications for the efficient capture of bacteria from waste water or soil are explained. The material characterization technique created and tested the nanophase and conventional alumina compacts that altered only in grain size. The study focused on bacteria response to changes in nanometer, compared to conventional topographies. The results of the study provided the first evidence of increased bacteria cell capture on alumina that alters only in degree of nanometer surface roughness.
