abstract
We consider output feedback control design for regional pole placement for continuous time systems. The techniques presented are based on covariance control theory and yield parametrizations of controllers that assign closed loop poles into regions of specified shape like vertical strip, circle, and parabola. Robustification of pole placement to accommodate plant perturbations and derivation of covariance upper bounds are included.
