Broadband phase-noise squeezing of traveling waves in electromagnetically induced transparency.

We show that driven -type atoms in a cell under conditions of electromagnetically induced transparency squeeze the phase noise of a traveling-wave input field in a broad spectral region. The maximum squeezing is about 41% below the shot-noise level. 1996 The American Physical Society.
