abstract
Methane can be converted in high yields to aromatic products using an integrated recycle system containing both an oxidative coupling (OCM) reactor at 800C, for conversion of CH4 to C2H4, and a secondary reactor containing Ga/ZSM-5at 520C for subsequent conversion of ethylene to aromatics. Using this system, aromatic product yields of > 70% at CH4 conversions of 100%, based on total CH4 added, can be obtained.
