Supramolecular structure of helical ribbons self-assembled from a β-sheet peptide

A computational method was developed to identify the most probable supramolecular structure and properties of the helical ribbon intermediates formed during self-assembly of KFE8. Results indicate that these helical ribbons are composed of a double β-sheet where the inner and the outer helices have the same (S13) hydrogen bonding pattern.
