abstract
The results of a preliminary SEM study of fresh human articular cartilage examined by cryogenic technics and conventional methods of specimen preparation has revealed marked ultrastructural differences in the same tissue. A comprehensive comparative prospective method of specimen preparation has been designed that will attempt to answer questions encountered in this preliminary investigation and the results of this study will be reported in the future.
