abstract

  • A new and efficient analysis method for microwave MESFET mixers was developed. The analysis incorporates harmonic balance largesignal analysis, implemented using robust and fast numerical algorithms, into an extended smallsignal analysis originally developed for diode mixers. Simulated performance of a GaAs MESFET mixer circuit using the developed analysis and the commercially available software LIBRA agree very well.
