  • Techniques for generating microwave/millimeter-wave signal in a monolithic resonant ring circuit are described The microwave signal can be generated by focusing modulated light into a photoconductive microstrip gap or by mixing two sideband locked lasers at the photodiode. Varactor and PIN diodes can be integrated inside the ring for frequency tuning and power switching. 1989 SPIE.
