MODELING COMMON MODE FAILURES IN TRANSMISSION SYSTEMS. Academic Article uri icon

abstract

  • An investigation is made of modeling common mode failures in the reliability evaluation of electric transmission lines. The area more specifically discussed is the effect of the probability distribution of state residence times on the reliability indices. The reliability measures are found sensitive to the form of the probability distribution of component down times.
