abstract

  • This paper investigates the evaluation of the probability and frequency of failure for a system of electric transmission lines with common mode failures, assuming that the components down time follows a Gamma distribution with shape parameter less than one. A system model is presented based on the parallel device of stages. The studies presented show the sensitivity of the reliability indices to the form of distribution, and the variation of these indices with parameter is discussed.
