abstract

  • Elastography has progressed rapidly in the past several years. The current promise of the technique lies in the fact that it is theoretically and practically possible to obtain quality images of some of the mechanical attributes of the tissue under an applied load, and that reliable modulus contrast has been demonstrated in several normal and pathological tissues.
