abstract
The developments in the present performance and future scopes offered by the two-photon based Write Once Read Many (WORM) optical volumetric disk systems were analyzed. The WORM system media comprised of photochromic organic molecules that change their structure upon excitation at the absorption band of the molecule. In this regard, the simulation results of a multi-layer optical data storage system and a three-dimensional parallel readout systems were evaluated.
