abstract
The possibility of implementing the Coulomb gauge in time-domain electric field integral-equation numerical calculations is examined. Two formulations are explored, including the use of a solenoid current and replacement of the Lorentz gauge Green's function with that of the Coulomb gauge. It is shown that the Coulomb gauge involves a 3D integration and solution of a matrix equation at each time step, while the Lorentz gauge requires a 2D integration and no matrix equation.
