Simple 'derivation' of Maxwell's equations relying on the new extended Helmholtz theorem Conference Paper

By relying on the extended Helmholtz theorem and a set of four postulates, Maxwell's equations are derived. This approach is shown to naturally provide the constants and although their particular values are not evident. The decision as to whether to set 1 or 2 to a negative number is arbitrary were originally framed. In the present work, the choice of sign is made so as to be consistent with the accepted expressions.
