abstract
A mixed-potential EFIE is formulated for the surface current on a PEC antenna or scatterer of arbitrary shape embedded in a layered dielectric medium. This form of the EFIE is amenable to the existing efficient MOM procedures which until now have been limited to objects in a homogeneous, infinite space. Preliminary numerical results are presented for thin-wire antennas residing in contiguous dielectric half-spaces and are shown to compare favorably with the available NEC data.
