abstract
Local mean-field Markov processes are constructed from local mean-field dynamical semigroups of Markov transition operators. This provides a general scheme for the convergence of empirical measure processes for tagged particles in the thermodynamic limit of classical interacting particle systems. As an application the Poissonian approximation for message-switching queueing networks is investigated. 1992 Springer-Verlag.
