abstract
Ultrasonic imaging techniques are used for particle size-distribution estimation in process fluids. A relationship is established between the acoustic wavelength and particle radius. The main emphasis of the paper is the study of ultrasonic imaging and image processing methods for the recognition and size distribution of particles.
