abstract

• The compounded effect of CO2 and greenhouse emissions and other environmental problems involved in the energy production are creating a new market in tradable emissions permits. This leads to the increase of the relative importance of nuclear energy in some markets, as well as some promising renewable energy developments. Collaborative efforts involving technology transfer and shared projects within and among markets are expected to become a way to offset declines in individual company budgets.
