Composite material micromechanics modeling of haversian bone Conference Paper

abstract

• A valid micromechanics model for bone tissue could significantly enhance ongoing research work aimed at better understanding bone structure/property relationships, particularly as affected by mechanical loads. With micromechanics modeling, more direct relationships could be investigated, i.e. the relationship between stresses & strains in specific bone tissue constituents and the associated remodeling activity.
