The model is based on kinematic wave theory and employs a linearly converging geometry to represent the geometry of an urban watershed. Physically measurable geometric parameters are utilized to transform a complex watershed geometry into a simpler converging geometry. The model contains one parameter which characterizes the kinematic wave friction relationship. This parameter is obtained by optimization. Surface runoff hydrographs predicted by the model are compared with those observed on the urban watersheds. The sources of discrepancies in predic
