abstract
A simultaneous treatment of infiltration, evaporation and runoff during and after the occurrence of a rainfall event is incorporated in a mathematical model for basin runoff. Infiltration is estimated by the R. E. Horton equation; its parameters are estimated by an analysis of rainfall, runoff and antecedent soil moisture data. Evaporation is assumed to be constant during the period of runoff. Hydrology of runoff is described by a spatially lumped form of continuity equation and a storage-discharge relationship.
