abstract
A simple runoff model has been developed, utilizing parameters of soil moisture storage. These parameters are obtained from an independent soil moisture model. The runoff model is applied to predict runoff on a small agricultural watershed in the Southern Ontario Region of Canada. The model parameters are optimized by an iterative algorithm utilizing an objective function based on the minimization of the sum of squares of deviations between observed and predicted runoff.
