abstract
The Saint Venant equations of motion are linearized to develop a dynamic model for prediction of watershed surface runoff. The linear model has the advantage that explicit analytical solutions are obtainable for complex input and geometric configurations. By applying the model to natural agricultural watersheds it is shown that for surface runoff prediction linearization is permissable, and that the proposed model is a promising prediction tool in watershed hydrology. - Author English
