For this project-based learning exercise, teams of four will work over five, 50-minute, class periods inside a traditional classroom setting to create a unique solution to a real life problem: the construction of a new high school that incorporates technology in an innovative and unique way. In this project, high school students will demonstrate an understanding of geometry, technology, environmental science, and language arts skills. Before attempting this PBL, students should have solid knowledge of the properties of geometric figures, including the calculation of area, perimeter, and surface area.
