  • 2016 Sense Publishers. All rights reserved. This is a project-based learning assignment designed for 7th and 8th grade students of all abilities. This project is versatile and can be adjusted to meet the needs of any student. This project will both inform students of the issues that carbon footprints leave as well as engage them in finding solutions to the problem. Students will think about how much they contribute to their own carbon footprint and find solutions to reduce or eliminate some of these factors. Students will work in groups and use brainstorming, critical thinking, and team-building skills in order to complete this assignment. Students will also use computers, cameras and printers. Knowledge of how to properly utilize these materials is also required. This project enlightens the students about their effects on the environment in which they live.
