abstract
The use of filaments, produced when intense TW-fs-laser pulses propagate through the atmosphere, as a remote sensing technique, allowing a height-resolved multi-component analysis of the atmosphere is addressed. In particular, the investigation of the conductivity, the spectral content of the filaments and the first fs-LIDAR measurements in the visible and infrared, are discussed.
